Mens Fitness after 40 | Fat Loss, Kingdom Habits, Increase Energy, Build Strength, Get In Shape
Hey Friend, do you look in the mirror and wonder where that younger, high-energy version of yourself went?
Do you struggle to find clothes that fit comfortably? Are you tired of staring at the fridge, paralyzed by "diet confusion," or hitting the gym only to end up with a nagging injury that sets you back weeks?
I’m Dr. Pete Stuart—Dad, husband, Chiropractor, and Jesus lover. For years, I tried to get in shape the "world’s way." I followed the empty promises of fad diets and grueling fitness plans that did nothing but steal my time, money, and joy.
I realized that for Christian men over 40, fitness isn't just about six-packs—it’s about stewardship. It’s about having the God-Given Strength to lead our families, serve our ministries, and show up with confidence.
This is the podcast where we build Kingdom Habits to feel great in your clothes again.
Each week, we break down a simple, sustainable lifestyle that actually fits your busy life. No fluff, no "bio-hacks" that don't work—just a biblical and biological blueprint for:
- FAT LOSS that lasts without the restrictive misery.
- ENERGY that keeps you sharp from the boardroom to the backyard.
- STRENGTH built on the pillars of Thinking, Eating, Asking, and Moving (TEAM).
If you're ready to stop "trying" and start training God’s way, you’re in the right place. It’s time to step into the health and vitality you need for the mission God has called you to.
So, grab your earbuds and lace up your shoes. It's time to jump in!

Your 20-year-old self is a health and fitness liar. 🤥
You know the feeling. You’re at the gym, or maybe just getting dressed for work, and you find yourself doing "The Math."
“At 20, I could bench 225 without a warm-up.”
“At 20, I could eat a whole pizza and wake up with abs.”
“At 20, I was the man.”
We call it The Comparison Trap, and it’s a cage. A good number of men over 40 aren’t too far out of shape; they’re just haunted. They are chasing the Ghost of 20-Year-Old Past—a version of themselves that doesn't exist anymore and, frankly, isn't invited to the mission God has for them today.
Here’s the truth that Ghost won’t tell you:
That 20-year-old version of you was "fit" by accident. He had youth on his side, but he didn't have your wisdom. He didn't have your leadership. And he certainly didn't have the Kingdom responsibilities you carry right now as a husband, father, and leader.
When you try to train like a 20-year-old, you end up with: ❌ Ego-lifting injuries ❌ Burnout from impossible standards ❌ A sense of failure because you can't do "that" anymore.
It’s time to kill the ghost.
Your calling at 45, 55, or 65 requires a different kind of strength. It’s not about "Glory Days" performance; it’s about Kingdom Stewardship.
It’s about building the habits that allow you to feel great in your clothes again, lead your family with energy, and show up for the mission God has placed in your hands today.
Stop comparing. Start Stewarding.

Is Keto the "Secret Weapon" for Men Over 40? 🥩
Body: Most men my age think a slowing metabolism is just "part of the deal." They accept the extra weight and the lack of energy as "normal."
But as Christian men, we are called to be fit for the Kingdom. In the latest episode of the Mens Fitness after 40 Podcast, I’m breaking down the Keto lifestyle—not as a "crash diet," but as a tool to reclaim your God-given strength.
We’re talking: ✅ How to drop the "spare tire" without losing muscle. ✅ Why Keto can provide the mental clarity you need for leadership. ✅ Integrating discipline as a spiritual habit, not just a physical one.
It’s time to feel great in your clothes again and lead your family with the energy you were meant to have.
I hope this blesses you.

Stop trying to empty your mind.
In the fitness world, we’re told to "clear our heads" or "find our zen." But as men of God, we aren't called to be empty—we’re called to be filled.
Most meditation tells you to detach from reality to find peace. But Kingdom meditation is about attachment. It’s about abiding in the Vine so you have the strength to lead your family, run your business, and honor your body.
❌ Eastern Meditation: Emptying the mind to find "nothingness." ✅ Christian Meditation: Filling the mind with Truth to find Transformation.
In the latest episode of Mens Fitness after 40, I’m breaking down how to use Biblical meditation to take every thought captive and build God-given strength in your mind and spirit.
I hope this blesses you.

Most men will scroll past this.
Why? Because most men have settled for "average."
Average energy. Average discipline. The average "dad bod" that they’ve accepted as inevitable after 40.
But I’m not talking to the average man. I’m talking to the man who wants to increase his God-Given Strength. I’m talking to the man who wants to lead his family, business, and his ministry with the energy he had 20 years ago.
Intermittent Fasting is hard. It requires you to say "no" to your stomach so you can say "yes" to your health.
It’s too difficult for the average man. But for you? It’s the essential Kingdom Habit you need to finally feel great in your clothes again.
In the latest episode of Men’s Fitness After 40, I’m pulling back the curtain on why this discipline is the ultimate "power tool" for Christian men.
I hope this blesses you.

The science is clear: After age 40, we start losing muscle mass every single year. This isn't just about 'looking good'—it’s about your metabolism, your bone density, and your energy levels.

We discuss: 🔹 Why your brain needs creatine as much as your muscles do. 🔹 The '5-gram-a-day' protocol. 🔹 How to fight sarcopenia and keep your 'God-Given Strength.'
Don't let age dictate your energy. Build the habit today.
I hope this blesses you,

Are you neglecting the simplest fuel God gave you?
Most men over 40 are walking around in a "mental fog," blaming age, stress, or a bad night’s sleep. But often, the culprit is much simpler: Dehydration.
Think about it: Your body is a temple (1 Cor 6:19). If that temple is 60+% water, how can you lead or even show up with "God-Given Strength" if you’re running on empty?
In this episode, we cover: 💧 Why your "2 PM Slump" isn’t a caffeine problem—it’s a water problem. 💧 The specific hydration math for men over 40 (It’s not just 8 glasses a day). 💧 How staying hydrated clears the mental path for better prayer and focus.
Stop surviving on coffee and start thriving on what God provided.
I hope this blesses you.

Who says 40+ is "over the hill"? 🏔️
In our culture, hitting 40 or 50 is often treated like the beginning of a slow decline. We make jokes about "being put out to pasture" or the "dad bod" being inevitable.
But as Christian men, we have a different calling.
Age isn't a reason to slow down—it’s a reason to level up. Your family, your ministry, and your business need you at your high-energy, high-confidence best.
In the latest episode of Mens Fitness after 40, we’re dismantling the "Over the Hill" myth. We’re talking about how to build Kingdom Habits that give you a second wind, so you can feel great in your clothes and lead with God-given strength.
I hope this blesses you.

Why working harder might be making you softer. 🚫💪
If you’re over 40 and still training like you’re 22, you might be accidentally fighting your own physiology.
As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I see it all the time: Men hitting high-intensity intervals, sweating in the "orange zone," and leaving the gym absolutely exhausted... yet that stubborn belly fat won't budge.
The culprit? Cortisol.
After 40, your hormonal landscape changes. High-intensity stress spikes cortisol, which tells your body to hold onto fat for survival.
In the latest episode of "Men's Fitness after 40," we’re talking about the secret weapon you’re probably overlooking: Walking.
I’m breaking down: ✅ How Low-Intensity Steady State (LISS) lowers your stress baseline. ✅ The "Post-Meal Power Move" to blunt insulin spikes. ✅ Why 7,000–8,000 steps is the real metabolic sweet spot.
I hope this blesses you.

Movement isn't just a chore—it’s stewardship. ✝️💪
As Christian men, we’re called to lead our families, serve our communities, and show up with excellence. But let’s be honest: it’s hard to lead when you’re exhausted, and it’s hard to serve when your body feels like a liability instead of an asset.
In the latest episode of "Men's Fitness After 40," we’re diving into the Moving Habit of the TEAM System.
We’re moving past the "gym rat" mentality and looking at movement as a Kingdom Habit. How do we build God-given strength so we can feel great in our clothes and have the energy to do what God called us to do? Tune in and find out!
I hope this blesses you.

Why "Asking" is the Hardest Part of Fitness for Men Over 40
Most of us were raised to be the "lone wolf." 🐺
We think being a leader means having all the answers and never showing a crack in the armor. We carry the weight of our health, our families, and our ministries on our own shoulders until we eventually burn out or break down.
But in the Kingdom, strength isn't found in isolation. It’s found in Asking.
In this week’s episode of Mens Fitness after 40, we’re diving into the "A" of our T.E.A.M. framework: Asking.
We discuss:
Why asking for help (from God and your brothers) is a sign of leadership, not weakness.
How to replace the "I’ve got this" ego with Kingdom-driven humility.
Practical ways to seek guidance that will help you finally feel great in your clothes again.
Stop trying to white-knuckle your fitness journey alone.
I pray this blesses you.
